Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Uppercut GG ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use uppercut.gg (the "Service"), and the rights you have over that data.

Who we are

Uppercut GG is a non-commercial, personal hobby project operated by an individual. For any privacy question or request, contact us at contact@uppercut.gg.

What data we collect

Account data: your email address, and account activity such as sign-in count and timestamps.
Technical data: for each active login session we store your IP address and browser user-agent, used for security and to let you review and revoke your sessions.
Anti-abuse data: when you vote, we use a keyed (irreversible) hash of your IP address, held only briefly in our cache, to prevent repeat voting. We do not store your IP address with your vote.
Content you provide: servers you submit and any images you upload.

Why we use it

To provide your account and the Service — performance of a contract.
To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse (sessions, anti-bot, vote rate-limiting) — our legitimate interests.
To send you transactional emails (email confirmation, password reset) — performance of a contract.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Cookies

We use only strictly-necessary and functional cookies — to keep you signed in, remember your time zone, and prevent bots (via hCaptcha). We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, so we do not show a cookie consent banner.

Who we share data with

Hetzner — hosting and database provider, located in the European Union.
hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc., USA) — bot prevention on forms; receives your IP and browser data.
Server owners' webhooks: if you vote for a server, we may notify that server's owner of the vote. This notification does not include your IP address.

How long we keep it

Account data — for as long as your account exists.
Session records (including your IP address) — kept until the session expires, then deleted.
Anti-abuse vote hash — only for the short rate-limit window, then it expires automatically.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

Access & export: request a copy of your data from your account page and we'll email it to you, or ask for it by email.
Deletion: delete your account from your account page. This removes your email, profile, and sessions, and anonymizes any votes you cast. Servers you submitted are public community listings and remain after deletion (no longer linked to you).
To exercise any right by email, contact contact@uppercut.gg. We may need to verify your identity first.

Age requirement

The Service is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Complaints

If you have concerns about how we handle your data, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date on this page.
